A character armchair, with a certainly organic shape, perhaps even anthropomorphic in the conception of the skin almost directly fixed on a Baydur® polyurethane skeleton. Entirely covered in leather and sewn by hand. The unexpected comfort is given by the perfect ergonomics of the product.
Philippe Starck creates a new masterpiece with Lou Read! Designed for the Royal Monceau hotel in Paris, this armchair with sculptural curves owes its name to the meeting between Philippe Starck and the artist Lou Reed in the same hotel fifteen years ago. With this project Philippe Starck wanted to pay homage to his friend, but also to activities such as reading and conversation, which in his opinion are preferable to time spent in front of the television or computer. Elegant and majestic, this armchair is made up of a fiberglass skeleton, onto which the leather upholstery has been directly fixed. The long backrest and small armrests appear as a tribute to Arne Jacobsen's design, and give Lou Read a very strong personality. Wide, deep and enveloping, the seat of this armchair is very comfortable and guarantees moments of perfect relaxation.
